Retirement at Marine Plus creates
new partner opportunity
Marine Plus is a long established business
which has exclusive distribution rights
to some of the best brands in the marine
business. These include International Paints,
AWL Grip, Muir, VDO, Hella, 3M, ICOM and
Baltic with a string of other respected and
complimentary agencies also on the books.
The company was established in 1993
and comprises three partners, Peter Hickey,
George Fisscher and Doug Gandy. However,
with Doug Gandy retiring after 19 years, the
opportunity has presented to review and
revamp Marine Plus.
The remaining partners, Peter Hickey
and George Fisscher, are actively seeking
a new partner to join them at Marine Plus.
The partner may be active or silent. They
may take up a one-third (or more) interest in
the business, depending on their situation.

Know boats? Well, yes!
Right throughout the Pantaenius Australia
crew there is water in the veins. Managing
Director, James MacPhail, has won more
regattas both here and overseas than this page
can take. Adam Brown won his third Sydney to
Hobart last year, whilst Maike Muth competed
in her very first and will be back for more. Just
Danielle Blackmore has racked up many
deliveries and sails on the maxi yacht,
Brindabella. The newest crewmember, Chris Tilly,
grew up sailing dinghies and keelboats in Saint
John, New Brunswick. Martin Baum has also
been around boats all his life and it is his family
that created the unique Pantaenius policy.
No one could know your boat as well as
you do. Pantaenius will ensure you know it
even better with a policy designed to reflect
your needs and boating lifestyle. Visit <w w w.

Since Southern Stainless’s beginnings in
1982 as a local fabrication company on the
Gold Coast they have grown to incorporate
products that are sold around Australia and
the world. In the beginning basic products
included fabrication of stainless steel bow
rails, grab rails and fender baskets.
During the late ’80s they noticed a gap in
the market for a high quality stainless steel
marine BBQs. Southern Stainless’s Cookout
barbeque was born. Today Cookout barbeques
are available in portable, flush mount, propane
and natural gas as well as electric.
Their electric range of BBQs are arguably
the best on the market as they supply a high
temperature cooking surface which cooks as
well as a traditional gas hotplate BBQ. The
company pride themselves on building only
high quality products and are proud to say they
still maintain 100% manufacturing in Australia
at their Ormeau factory.
