Remember Epiglass Marinecoat
An old favourite of the International
Paint range has now returned as Marinecoat
In this day and age we are constantly
tempted with advertisements promoting
new technology products. For this reason it
is easy to overlook existing products based
on simpler ideas which perform well and can
be easier to use.
Marinecoat has been around for 30 years
in one form or another but has had ongoing
modifications to satisfy current market
requirements. For good exterior exposure
performance, resins are chosen for use in
Marinecoat that retain flexibility, toughness
and resistance to degradation in the marine
Marinecoat is the ideal combination of an
economical choice and good performance for
protecting boat topsides. Applied with brush,
roller or spray, Marinecoat is available in Surf
White, Off White, Oyster White, Alpine White
and Royal Blue in 500ml, 1Lt and 4Lt (Surf
White only) pack sizes.

Anchor Right brings out the best in
The Sarca is well supported with stories
of saving lives and vessels in many cyclones
and the memorable Tsunami that hit Phuket.
Sarca is now one of the most popular anchors
throughout Australia and possibly New
Zealand, from small tinnies to ver y large
commercial vessels. Police and coast guard
boats also support its performance.
They then launched the incredible Sarca
Excel, this is yet another extremely innovative
design that was developed for boats with pull pit
anchor housing arrangements. Roll bar designs
don’t fit pull pits, also roll bar designs can be
difficult to house on multi-hulls.
Don’t be fooled into thinking the Excel is a
plough or Delta design, (this couldn’t be further
from the truth). The Excel is also tested and
certified Super High Holding Power. Excel is
available in gal, stainless and a ver y innovative
demountable alloy version, all anchor designs
are widely used on boats under sur vey.

The grip on the winch
drum is exceptionally efficient and combined
with a unique self-tailer it enables the trimmer
to pull the slack out of the sheet with the line
sitting in the self-tailer and with the winch
A great advantage is that you can pre-load
the sheet into the self-tailer of the windward
winch prior to tacking, and then sheet home
and set the trim of the jib instantly on the new
tack. Simply pull in the slack and turn the handle
a turn or two to get full tension.
