Boat names by Brave Design
Introducing Sydney’s newest boat naming
ser vice where the whole process from design
through to installation can be completed
without you even having to leave your desk.
A Brave’s designer will visit your boat on
either a marina or swing mooring, using their
custom-built Brig installation boat.
Made from premium quality vinyl
designed to withstand Australia’s harsh UV
rays, all graphics are then produced in-house
at their Chatswood based production facility.
Within days the new name will be installed by
their 3M approved graphic installer.
Although the boat names division is a
new service, Brave Design is far from new in
the commercial marine industry including
clients such as Sydney Superyacht Marina,
Thunder Jet Boats, Yellow Water Taxis and
Sydney Harbour Jet.

PRODUCT & INDUSTRY REVIEW
The new Hanse 388 and 418 have just been
launched at Cannes Boat Show. Part of the new
8 series from the Hanse Yard, these are the
all-important sizes in a production boat range.
Hanse have again embraced latest design and
technology innovations in the industry to keep
ahead of the fleet.
Even sleeker – these new models have
the trademark fast hull line and impressive
Just add power and
let the cooling begin!
Nova Kool have been
continually refining the
design of their conversion
kits. Their LT systems are
powered by Secop (formally Danfoss) BD Series
Compressors with an efficient fan-cooled
condenser and controlled by Secop control
modules and thermostats. The LT201 (BD30F)
& LT211 (BD50F) systems are speed variable
so compressor speed can be matched to your
application for ultimate efficiency.
The optional Secop AC/DC module for
multi-voltage operation is also available.
The Nova Kool kits are designed for ease
of installation and come pre-charged with
refrigerant, there’s no need for purging, or
expensive professional help.
Great for custom refrigerators, freezers and
fridge/freezer combinations. Nova Kool kits are
backed by a 2-year warranty.

User friendly paint stripper
‘ Lemon Peel’ is a
powerful water soluble
paint stripper. It is user
friendly and safer to
use. It can be used on
all surfaces including
GelCoat and fibreglass.
It readily attacks and
lifts single pack paints
including antifoul and
varnish with ease.
Its vapour does not add to greenhouse
effects nor does it affect the ozone layer like
the solvents in most paints and strippers.
It contains no methylene chloride unlike
old technology strippers available from
Spread ‘Lemon Peel’ over the surface in
a rather thick layer of 0.5 -1mm, depending
on the thickness of paint. Ideally cover with
plastic sheets to prevent drying to enhance
penetration into the paint layers. It can then
be removed by scraper into newspaper and
washed down with hot soapy water and scour
pad prior to sanding.
